Frustrated by Guinness World Records' bureaucracy, I co-founded RecordSetter, a global media company that believes "everyone can be world's best at something." We started as a Burning Man theme camp, raised capital from investors including Chris Sacca (Shark Tank) and Tony Hsieh (Zappos), and built a globally recognized brand with a library of 80,000+ user-generated videos, 250+ million views, and 450,000+ Facebook Fans. Check out our Brand Video, and feel free to set your own world records.

Paramore asked us to help them set a world record for “Most World Records Set in a Music Video.” As creative consultant, I helped develop the records, establish the rules, and expand the video into this interactive experience. The video has 60+ million views, and inspired a wave of user-generated content.
I was an executive producer (and on-air talent) on this NBC pilot, developed as an game show spin-off from RecordSetter's segments on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Chris Hardwick was a masterful host, and we taped two hilarious remote pieces with Jimmy in LA, but sadly the show never aired.

RecordSetter evolved from the Playa Book of Records, a Burning Man theme camp I started with friends in 2004. We invited festival attendees to invent their own world records, and witnessed feats ranging from "Most Blueberries Fit in a Bellybutton" to "Most Consecutive Backflips on Stilts."
Inspired by Wikipedia, I had the idea to take the project and turn it into an open, video-based platform that let anyone, anywhere set any record they wanted. Corey Henderson joined me as co-founder/CTO, and the rest, as they say, is history.
